The Princess Theatre Road Show Hosts First Event Of The Year

The Princess Theatre Road Show will be hosting the first road show event of the year on Saturday, February 17th. The event, sponsored by the City Of Rushville, will be a screening of the movie “Loving Vincent" which features art work by local muralist Pamela Bliss.

This movie is a Golden Globe AND Oscar nominated movie!

Loving Vincent is the world’s first oil painted, animated feature film. It is a story of a young man who visits the last hometown of painter Vincent van Gogh to deliver the troubled artist’s final letter and ends up investigating his final days there.

You have probably seen some of Pamela’s local mural work in Rushville (on the Rushville Pharmacy and the Farmer’s Market) and in Cambridge City (along US 40). You can see more of her work here: www. PamelaBliss.Gallery

She was chosen from a field of 5,000 artists who applied for submission of their artwork for the movie and was one of only 10 American artists chosen to join 100 international artists who then went to Poland to create the 65,000+ paintings that go into the movie.

The event will be Saturday, February 17th at the Laughlin Center at Rushville Consolidated High School. Doors open at 6:30 PM with an introduction and Q&A session presented by Miss Bliss at 7:00 PM. The movie will start immediately after the Q&A session. Please note: there will be no concessions served or permitted at the venue.

No admission will be charged but donations are always appreciated. All money will go toward the Princess Theatre restoration.
